Renewable Energy Fund

Interested in funded solar for your business?

Any company operating within South Africa’s automotive sector may apply. Tell us about the site, and we will come back to you about a feasibility assessment.

Street address, or the suburb and town if the site has no street number.
A lease is not a barrier. It changes the agreements involved, so the Fund needs to know early.
For example: Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00, and Saturday mornings.
This form cannot take attachments yet. Email your most recent bill to info@inqubeko.com with your company name in the subject line — or leave it, and we will ask for it when we reply.
Optional. Anything about the property or your electricity requirements.

Who can apply.

Any company operating within South Africa’s automotive sector may apply for funded solar. You do not have to be an existing Toyota supplier.

  • component and parts manufacturers
  • logistics, warehousing and distribution operations
  • dealerships, workshops and service centres
  • tooling, engineering and specialist industrial suppliers
  • other businesses operating in the automotive value chain

Eight short questions. None of this commits you to anything — it is what the Fund needs before it can tell you whether an installation would work at your site.

Next steps

  1. We read the application and the bill.

  2. If the site looks workable, we arrange a feasibility assessment of energy use and site conditions.

  3. If the numbers work for both sides, commercial and site agreements follow, then design and installation.

Who owns first response, and within what time, is not yet settled — so this page does not promise one.

Rather talk first?

Awaiting confirmation — Frans Nortje / Luzandri Barnard

Three things about this form are not settled. The electricity bill cannot be uploaded — the endpoint takes a JSON body of text fields, with no file route, no storage and no scanning — so the form asks how you would like to send it instead.

A site address, an employee count, operating hours and an electricity bill together describe a business precisely enough to matter under POPIA, and the retention period, the lawful basis and the privacy notice are all still outstanding. And nobody has yet been named as the person who reads these. All three before this page is published.

Applying commits neither side to anything.

Each site is assessed on its own energy use, roof or yard conditions and project economics, and the Fund proceeds where an installation makes sense for the business and for the Fund.
